Dublin 3 stretches from the East Wall and the port right along the coast to Clontarf and Dollymount, taking in Fairview, Marino and the streets around Croke Park. Our movers Dublin 3 service covers all of it. Moving Service Dublin handles house removals, apartment moves and single items for families, couples and renters across the area.
Many Dublin 3 moves are family homes, so our house removals service is a good starting point. You can also see our services and the areas we cover.
Moving around Dublin 3
Clontarf and Dollymount
Clontarf has a mix of large Victorian and Edwardian homes on roads like Vernon Avenue, Castle Avenue and St Lawrence Road, alongside newer apartments near the seafront. Bigger homes often mean more furniture, heavier pieces and longer carries up driveways. We plan the load in advance and organise the number of trips, or arrange a larger vehicle where needed.
Marino
Marino's distinctive estate of red brick houses, laid out around green spaces in the 1920s, has narrow front gardens and tight staircases. Larger sofas and wardrobes often need dismantling, and on street parking can be close, so we plan where the van will stop.
Fairview and East Wall
Fairview has terraced houses, flats above shops on Fairview Strand and apartments near the park. East Wall is mostly compact terraced streets with limited parking, plus newer apartments near the Point and the Docklands. Lift bookings are common in the apartment blocks.

Drumcondra and Ballybough edges
The western edge of Dublin 3 runs into terraced streets near Ballybough and the Tolka. Houses are compact, with steep stairs and on street parking, and many are rented to students and young professionals. Moves here tend to be smaller loads that suit our single van perfectly.
Things to know about moving in Dublin 3
Croke Park is right on the doorstep. On match and concert days, roads around Jones's Road, Clonliffe Road, Ballybough and parts of Drumcondra close or fill with traffic, and parking becomes nearly impossible. Always check the fixture list before booking your moving date.
The Clontarf Road along the seafront is busy at rush hour, and the cycle lane and bus lane restrict where we can stop. Most homes have a side road or driveway nearby, but let us know if yours does not. In older houses, measure large furniture against the stairs before moving day, especially for upper floors and attic conversions.
Living near the coast also means bulky outdoor items: bikes, paddle boards, garden furniture and barbecues. Let us know about these when you ask for a quote so we can make room for them in the van and protect them alongside your furniture.
