Wexford is one of the most popular places for Dubliners to move to, whether for the coast, more space or a slower pace of life. Our removals Dublin to Wexford service covers the whole county, from commuter towns like Gorey to Wexford town, Enniscorthy, New Ross and the coastal villages. Moving Service Dublin loads, drives and unloads in a single day.
It is one of the regular routes in our long distance removals service. You can see the rest of our services here.
The route down the M11
From the south side of Dublin we join the M11 and follow it south past Bray, through Wicklow and on into Wexford. Gorey is usually around an hour away, Enniscorthy a little further, and Wexford town around an hour and three quarters to two hours depending on traffic. From the north side we add time to get across the M50 first.
Places like Courtown, Curracloe, Rosslare and Kilmore Quay are reached on regional roads at the end. If you are heading to New Ross, we may route via Enniscorthy on the N30.
The M11 is usually a smooth run, but traffic can slow around Bray and Kilmacanogue during the morning and evening peaks. We time departures to avoid the worst of it, so your belongings are on the road when the motorway is clear and you arrive at a sensible hour to start unloading.

Local things to know about Wexford moves
Wexford town's Main Street and the lanes around it are narrow and often busy, so loading close to the door can take some planning. Coastal villages get much busier in summer, especially at weekends, which affects parking and traffic. If your move falls in July or August, a weekday is often the smoother choice.
Many people moving to Wexford are buying older farmhouses or bungalows on rural roads. Let us know about narrow lanes, gravel drives or gates so we can plan the approach and avoid surprises.
Gorey in particular has grown fast, with lots of new estates off the Courtown Road and the Ramstown area. These are generally easy for a van, with driveways and wide roads, which means quicker unloading and less carrying.
Moving essentials
- Sort keys and access for the new property ahead of the day
