What Counts as a Single Item?
Pretty much anything too big for a car. The most common single item jobs we do include:

Getting a Single Item Ready
Preparation makes a big difference on short jobs. Empty wardrobes and drawers completely, as contents add weight and can shift and cause damage. Remove shelves and glass panels where possible and wrap them separately. Take off legs and handles that stick out, and bag the screws.
For appliances, unplug and drain them in advance. Washing machines should have the transit bolts fitted if you still have them. Fridges should be defrosted and dried at least a day before.
Measure the Route
Measure the item and the doorways and stairs at both ends. A large wardrobe that fit into a bedroom years ago may have been built in place, so check it will actually come out in one piece.
Buying From a Private Seller
If the item is coming from a private sale, agree a collection time with the seller and share their number with us so we can let them know when we are close. Ask them to have the item cleared and ready near the door, and confirm whether it is upstairs or on the ground floor. Pay the seller directly before we load, so there is no confusion on the doorstep. If you cannot be there yourself, tell the seller who will be collecting so they are expecting us.
