TU Dublin is spread across three main campuses, so student moves TU Dublin can mean very different journeys. You might be heading for a studio near Grangegorman, a house share close to the Tallaght campus, or a room near Blanchardstown. Moving Service Dublin helps students and their families with all of them.
Our student moving service is built for small loads and fixed prices, and you can see the full list of our services and the areas we cover across Dublin.
Moving near each TU Dublin campus
Grangegorman
The main campus sits between Phibsborough, Stoneybatter and Smithfield. Student housing here is a mix of purpose built blocks, apartments around Smithfield and the quays, and older terraced houses on narrow streets off the North Circular Road and Manor Street. Expect permit parking, tight turns and walk up flats. The Luas Green line runs past the campus, but bulky items still need a van.
Tallaght
Students at the Tallaght campus often rent near the Square, in the apartment blocks around Belgard and Cookstown, or in houses in nearby estates. Parking is generally easier, but apartment complexes usually need lift and loading bookings.
Blanchardstown
The Blanchardstown campus draws students to house shares in Corduff, Mulhuddart, Castleknock and Ongar. These are mostly suburban estates with driveways, which makes loading straightforward.
If you are not sure which area suits your course, it is worth checking which campus your timetable is mostly based on before signing a lease. Moving across the city mid year is easy with a van, but it is still simpler to get it right first time.
What students usually move
Most loads are suitcases, boxes, bedding, a desk and chair, a small bookcase, kitchen bits and maybe a bike. Art, design and music students at Grangegorman often have portfolios, easels, equipment and instruments too. We wrap fragile work and instruments in blankets and strap them in place so nothing shifts on the way.

Start and end of term moves
Late August and September are the busiest times for move ins, and late May is the rush for move outs. Booking ahead gets you the time slot you want. If you are moving between campuses, for example from a house in Tallaght to a flat near Grangegorman for your final year, we handle that as a simple cross city move.
For students going home for the summer, we also cover long distance moves across Ireland. Share the van with a friend going the same way and we will plan both drops on one route.
