Every year thousands of students move into and out of residences on the Belfield campus and flats and digs around Clonskeagh, Donnybrook, Stillorgan and Mount Merrion. Moving in and out of UCD residences
UCD's on campus residences, such as Merville, Roebuck, Glenomena, Belgrove and Ashfield, each have their own move in and move out procedures. On the busy weekends in late August, September and May, the campus roads fill up and parking near the residence blocks is limited. We plan around set arrival slots where the university uses them, and we keep the van loaded so we can get in and out quickly.
If you are an international or out of county student, we can collect boxes from a family member's house in Dublin, or bring your things from the airport area to campus.

- Bikes, which we wrap so they do not scratch anything else

Most student loads take up only part of the van, so the job is quick and the price reflects that.
Moving to flats and digs near UCD
Plenty of UCD students live off campus. Popular spots include Clonskeagh, Milltown, Donnybrook, Booterstown, Stillorgan and the apartments along the N11. Some flats are in converted houses with narrow stairs, while others are in modern blocks with lifts and secure car parks. Let us know which when you get in touch and we will plan accordingly.
Tips for a smooth student move
- Pack in small, sturdy boxes rather than bin bags, as they stack safely in the van
- Check your residence's move out rules and inspection times
- Take photos of your room before you leave to protect your deposit
- Share the van with a housemate moving the same day to keep costs down
- Book early for the busy weekends at the start and end of term
Many students arrive in Dublin with little more than a suitcase and buy desks, chairs and shelving once they settle in. We can collect from shops around Dundrum, Sandyford and Stillorgan, or from second hand sellers anywhere in Dublin, and bring it straight to your room. It is a quick job that saves you trying to fit flat pack boxes on the 46A or the 39A.
We are also happy to move students between UCD and other parts of Ireland, for example heading home to Cork, Galway or Donegal at the end of the year.
